Rockstar names Justice as GTA 6 score composers
Rockstar published the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on 15 October 2026, and in the same announcement named the composers of the game’s score for the first time. They are Justice, which Rockstar describes as an electronic duo and, on its own music page, as the game’s “original score composers”.
That closes a question this site has tracked since 17 September. When Rockstar announced the album, it ended the post by promising more on three things: the dynamic score, the next evolution of in-game radio, and more. The radio arrived on 8 October, with six stations and their voices. The score was the last of the three with nothing attached to it, and no composer had been named. Now one has.
The trailer runs 1:29. That makes it the shortest of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI trailers, two seconds under the December 2023 reveal and roughly half the length of Trailer 2.
The announcement also carries a new single, “Flower in a Hurricane”, credited to Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar calls it a “standalone Justice single” and says in the same sentence that it “is also available on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album”. Both are Rockstar’s own words from the same day. The company has not said whether the track is one of the album’s 34 or an addition to them, so the 28 unnamed album tracks stay 28 here.
One change of wording is worth reporting rather than smoothing over. In September Rockstar promised a “dynamic score”. The pages published on 15 October say “original score”, and the new section on the music page is headed “Official Score by Justice”. The phrase “dynamic score” now appears nowhere on Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI pages. Whether the original score Justice are credited with is the same system Rockstar described in September is a thing only Rockstar can settle, and it has not.
What is still open. Whether Justice are scoring the game alone. When the score album arrives: Rockstar says to stay tuned for more on the music, “including the official score album”, and gives no date. And the trailer moves none of the gaps that have been open for months. There is still no resolution, frame rate, HDR or ray tracing figure for either console, no install size, and nothing at all about a PC version.
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
