Every GTA 6 character Rockstar has named

Rockstar has published biographies for nine people in Grand Theft Auto VI. It has named roughly a dozen more in passing, almost all of them in shop listings rather than in trailers. And it has not credited a single voice actor, performer or cast member for any of them.

That last point is the one worth knowing before you read anybody’s cast list. The speculation about who plays Jason and Lucia is extensive and none of it comes from Rockstar, because on everything Rockstar currently publishes about this game there is no such credit to find.

Here is the whole first-party record as it stands on 20 October 2026, thirty days before launch.

The two you play

Rockstar’s Only in Leonida page carries a People section with eight entries. Two of them are the characters the game is about.

Jason Duval. Rockstar’s one-line summary is “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.” The biography: “Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners.” It closes by pointing at the story rather than away from it: “Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. Jason knows how he’d like it to turn out but right now, it’s hard to tell.” The line Rockstar puts in his mouth is “Another day in paradise, right?”

Lucia Caminos. “Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. Life has been coming at her swinging ever since.” Two sentences later Rockstar has already established her criminal record and got her out of it: “Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out.” What she wants is her mother’s ambition, carried from another state: she “wants the good life her mom has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City”. Her own line is “The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got”, and her entry closes “A life with Jason could be her way out.”

Both storefront listings and Rockstar’s own store compress all of that into one sentence, which is the only description of the plot the company has published. “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida”, it reads, and the sentence ends with the two of them “forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive”.

Note what is absent from every version of it. Rockstar does not use the words protagonist, playable, antagonist or villain anywhere about this game. Which of the two you control, and when, is not something the company has stated.

The six other profiles

The remaining six entries cover seven people, because one of them is a duo.

Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend, and his summary line is a joke that is also a character note: “What if everything on the internet was true?” Rockstar says he “feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open”, describes him as “a fellow associate of Brian’s”, and sums him up as a man at “the low tide of America and happy there”. His quoted lines are “There are way too many birds flying around in perfect formation” and “The psychopaths are in charge. Get used to it.”

Boobie Ike is the one with an empire. Rockstar calls him “a local Vice City legend” and describes “One of the few to transform his time in the streets into a legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio”. His line, on how that works, is “The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all.” His entry says what he is actually invested in, which is “his partnership with the young aspiring music mogul Dre’Quan for Only Raw Records”.

Dre’Quan Priest gets that label from the other side: “Dre’Quan was always more of a hustler than a gangster. Even when he was dealing on the streets to make ends meet, breaking into music was the goal.” Rockstar then gives him a plot: “Now that he’s signed the Real Dimez, Dre’Quan’s days of booking acts into Boobie’s strip club might be numbered as he sets his sights on the Vice City scene.”

Real Dimez is the duo, and the two names are the reason eight entries describe nine people. “Bae-Luxe and Roxy aka Real Dimez have been friends since high school”, described by Rockstar as “girls with the savvy to turn their time shaking down local dealers into cold, hard cash via spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence”. Their summary is “Viral videos. Viral hooks.” and their status is “One hit away from fame”. One more name arrives inside their biography and nowhere else: “An early hit single with local rapper DWNPLY took Real Dimez to new heights.”

Raul Bautista is the professional. “Raul’s a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards”, and his entry is the only one that reads like a warning about the plot: “Raul’s recklessness raises the stakes with every score. Sooner or later, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table.” His lines are “Experience counts”, “A professional adapts” and “Life is full of surprises, my friend. I think we’d all be wise to remember that.”

Brian Heder is the old hand. “Brian’s a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys”, who is “Still moving product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, Brian’s been around long enough to let others do his dirty work.” Rockstar pairs “Looks like a Leonida beach bum” with “moves like a great white shark”, and connects him directly to Jason’s circumstances: “Brian’s letting Jason live rent-free at one of his properties”, in exchange for help “with local shakedowns”. His own boast is “I hauled so much grass in that plane, I could make the state of Leonida levitate.”

The people who only exist in a shop listing

This is where the record gets strange, and where most cast lists stop looking. Several people Rockstar has named are named only in the contents of an edition or a box.

Wyman is the clearest case. He appears in the Ultimate Edition’s description of its Classic Car Collection, as the person commissioning it: “Track down a variety of abandoned classic and work-in-progress project cars and revitalize them to their former glory in this special commission from eccentric collector and local fixer, Wyman.” He also appears in a screenshot Rockstar publishes, described as standing outside a garage with a wrench in his right hand, which makes him the only person Rockstar has both named and shown without giving him a profile.

Sara and One-Eyed Willie exist as possessives. Sara’s Unisex Salon and One-Eyed Willie’s mod shop in Lake Leonida are both Ultimate Edition destinations, and Rockstar has said nothing about either person beyond the name on the door. Lori exists only as Brian’s third wife. FAILE is not a character at all but a real-world credit, an artist collective Rockstar says designed the tattoos: “all designed by the artist collective FAILE”.

Two in-fiction television characters are better documented than most of the humans. Macca the Gator is, in Rockstar’s words, “the Goodtime State’s hit TV show character”, with a clothing range in the Ultimate Edition and a whole collector’s box built around him. Chunkee the Manatee appears once, on a shot glass in that box.

And then there are the voices of Leonida radio, which is the largest set of names Rockstar has published in one go: twelve DJs across six stations, plus a swamp meteorologist. We covered those when Rockstar named the stations, and they are a different kind of entry from the eight profiles, since what Rockstar has published about each of them is a name and a station rather than a life.

Tommy Vercetti, mentioned twice and not cast

The one name from the series’ past that Rockstar has attached to this game belongs to the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

It appears in the Vintage Vice City Pack, the pre-order bonus described in our editions and pre-order guide, under a heading Rockstar wrote as “Channel the Original Kingpin”. The item itself is cosmetic: “Adorn most guns with a tropical pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s iconic palm tree button-up.” The surname turns up a second time in the Ultimate Edition’s revolvers, which carry “classic Vice City stylings sourced from the Vercetti Estate”.

Read those two carefully, because they are doing less than they appear to. A weapon pattern inspired by a shirt and a pair of pistols sourced from an estate are references to a character, not an appearance by one. Rockstar has not said that Tommy Vercetti is in this game, has not said he is alive in it, and has not named any other returning character at all. What it has done is put his name in the shop twice, which is more than it has done for anybody else from the series’ earlier games.

What Rockstar has not published

No cast or performance credits, anywhere. Across all five pages Rockstar publishes about this game and all three official storefront listings, the words voice actor, voiced by, voice cast, starring, performed by, performance capture and motion capture return nothing at all. Neither does the word cast. If you have read who plays Jason or Lucia, you have read somebody other than Rockstar.

No total. The People section offers eight entries and does not say they are all of them, and the game’s own description refers to a conspiracy rather than to a cast.

No antagonist. Rockstar has not named an opposing character, an organisation or a rival, which on a game whose plot is a criminal conspiracy is a conspicuous gap rather than an oversight.

Nothing about relationships beyond the hints in the profiles. Cal is Jason’s friend and Brian’s associate, Boobie is Dre’Quan’s partner, Dre’Quan has signed Real Dimez, and Brian is Jason’s landlord. Raul’s connection to any of them is unstated, and so is every character’s connection to Lucia except Jason’s.

Why other cast lists are longer

A longer list is not necessarily a wrong one. Trailers show faces that have no names attached yet, and a face in a trailer is real evidence of a character even when the company has not introduced them. That is a reasonable thing for a fan site to catalogue.

It is a different kind of claim from a sourced one, though, and it drifts quickly. A figure glimpsed in a trailer becomes an unnamed character, then a named one, then a named one with a role and an actor, and by then nothing in the chain traces back to anything Rockstar said. We only publish what a primary source supports, which is why this page lists nine profiled people and stops.

The other reason to be careful is timing. The cast of a Rockstar game is normally established by playing it, not by an announcement, and the places those nine people live are still only described in paragraphs rather than shown on a map. Thirty days out, the honest version of a GTA 6 character list is short, and it is about to be replaced by the only source that settles anything, which is the game.
